FAQs - UCAT Practice
Is 3000 a good UCAT score?
A score of 3000 is considered an excellent result. The usual average score for the UCAT is about 2500, so achieving 3000 would put you significantly above that average. But remember, the competitiveness for a score can differ based on the specific universities to which you are applying. Leading medical schools may demand higher scores, so always check university websites before applying.
What is the top 1% UCAT score?
With the maximum UCAT score being 3600, the top 1% score is approximately 3250 or above. While this score may vary slightly each year due to the collective performance of the group, 3250 is a reliable benchmark for the top percentile.
How do I practice for the UCAT?
We advise you to start early, practice under timed conditions to mimic the real test environment, and make the most of our UCAT practice resources!
Is 20 days enough for UCAT?
While it's not impossible, it's also not advised! We recommend a MINIMUM of 4 weeks (ideally 6) to give you the best possible chance of success!
Has anyone ever got 100% in the UCAT?
No candidate has ever achieved a 100% on the UCAT. Its unique format makes it intentionally difficult, so it’s quite challenging to answer every question correctly. However, a few candidates have scored exceptionally high scores, typically between 3200 and 3500.
Is the UCAT the hardest exam?
While it is challenging, the UCAT is certainly not the hardest exam you will ever sit! We break down why that is here pretty nicely here, and what you can do to smash the UCAT.
